A 2015 TT STEELBAND HISTORY RESEARCH PROJECT
REPORT UPDATE by The Steelbands (Pan) of Trinidad & Tobago
DEFINITIONS: The New Visoniaries Pan Foundation P&H steelband lists = NV; The Steelbands (Pan) of Trinidad & Tobago P&H steelband lists = IR
On 26th June 2015 NV announced the STEELBANDS WHICH HAVE PASSED Project on WST They proposed a NV list of over 200 steelbands
On 29th June 2015 NV set the DEVELOPING LIST OF STEELBANDS WHICH HAVE PASSED stream They indicated that a reprocessed NV list, after viewing some Forum posts, stood at 164 steelbands
On 30th June 2015 IR linked The Past & Historic Steelbands of TT page Indicating that the 15 April 2015 - Revision 4.0 IR list contained some 282 steelbands
At around 6th July 2015 IR communicated with NV list moderator Claude Gonzales Indicating assistance from IR and exchancing some processed data
At around 19th July 2015 NV presented an updated list with 375 steelbands
Between 30th June & 07th August, 2015, IR was processing and cleaning the combined list data IR lists ver 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 & 1.5 were compiled. Some IR lists were posted (see below)
On 09th October 2015, An additional Tinpan Band was listed The IR list ver 1.6, 11th October 2015, seperates the Tinpan Bands from the P&H Steelbands
IR list ver 1.6, 11th October, is the latest Update: IR ver 1.6 combines the data from NV, IR and Other Sources.

Four rare Tinpan steelbands are now listed.

This data is provisional, subject to change; and by its very nature considered incomplete. The processed data will eventually be incoroprated into the IR P&H lists noted in the panel above.
